Across Africa, too many people are denied the right to make choices about their own bodies. Girls are turned away when they ask for contraception. LGBTQI+ people are refused care or punished just for being themselves. People with disabilities are often excluded from sexual and reproductive health services — treated as if they don’t have needs, rights, or desires.
#ActForSRHR is a pan-African campaign calling on all of us to ACT. CHALLENGE. PROTECT — because SRHR is for every body.
Every BODY deserves dignity, care, and choice.
Here’s what we’re fighting for:
Sexual
Health
The right to safe, stigma-free sexual health care — including HIV/STI testing, PrEP, and sexuality education.
Reproductive
Health
Access to contraception, safe abortion, maternal care, and support throughout the reproductive journey.
Sexual
Rights
Freedom to express your identity, love who you choose, and live free from violence or shame.
Reproductive
Rights
Power to decide if, when, how many, and how to have children — without pressure, stigma, or coercion.
Enabling
Environment
Fair laws, funding, trained healthcare workers, safe and welcoming clinics, and social systems that make SRHR real for everyone, not just on paper.
Act. Challenge. Protect. Everyone deserves the right to make choices about their body.
