Sonke's short course on gender empowerment commences in Nairobi, Kenya.

The new intensive short course at the intersection of women’s health and male engagement – “Women’s Health, Masculinities and Empowerment: Advocacy and Training” – offered by MenEngage AfricaSonke Gender Justice and the UCGHI Center of Expertise on Women’s Health and Empowerment started at Kenyatta University, in Nairobi, Kenya, this morning.

Scheduled for 1 – 16 September 2015, participants will learn be exposed to various learning methodologies, including interdisciplinary case studies and exercises. They will learn how to build women’s empowerment and gender norms transformation into health programmes, and advocacy activities to maximise their effectiveness.
