Ekenia T. Chifamba is a trailblazing leader, multi‑award‑winning advocate for girls’ and women’s rights, and a seasoned development practitioner, leadership coach, and consultant. As the Founding Director of Shamwari Yemwanasikana, she has been instrumental in empowering girls and young women to become active agents of their own development. Her diverse background in administration, banking, evaluation, social work, project management, and leadership coaching has positioned her as a results‑driven professional recognized both locally and internationally. She also serves on numerous boards, including the Anti‑Domestic Violence Council, Spotlight Initiative Civil Society Reference Group, MenEngage Zimbabwe and Africa, and SAAPA Zimbabwe and Regional, among others.

Ekenia’s impact has been widely celebrated, with accolades such as being named among Zimbabwe’s 50 most inspirational women, featured in the 40 Under 40 business leaders list, and honoured as one of Zimbabwe’s iconic women of the last decade. She has received multiple awards for humanitarian impact, social entrepreneurship, and women’s rights advocacy, and her expertise has been sought globally through speaking engagements and consultancy work.
